[CoE Starter Kit - QUESTION] Service account and governance component notifications #3611
Comments
Thanks for posting. This is a thought provoking ask. I'll place it on our Governance backlog. |
Point 1 related with issue #2962 |
Thanks Jenefer. I think adding co-owners as recipients of those governance emails could be a good solution for ex. A similar ask is done here: #3413 |
We have multiple features asks like this. Looking to prioritize for December/January if possible. |
@kirgMS This has been fixed in the latest release. Please install the latest version of the toolkit following the instructions for installing updates. Note that if you do not remove the unmanaged layers as described there you will not receive updates from us. |

What is your question?
Hello,
Wa want that our citizen developers create their applications in DEV environments and the deployment to the production should be managed by the IT team (by using service accounts - this is also what is recommended as best practice mentioned in official Microsoft doc, see below). In this case, I have two questions:
If we do it in this way, the application owner will become the service account in PROD. So, if I activate for ex Compliance process, as owner, the service account email will receive the notifications generated by the App Compliance process, right? Is there any workaround for this? What to do if we want the real maker to receive the email? Same thing for other CoE starter kit governance components.
How to manage application share on PROD? Let's say that as a citizen developer I created an application in DEV, IT helped me to deploy it to PROD; what do I do to be able to share my app in PROD? Asking every time IT to do it isn't time consuming? Is there any way to let the citizen developer manage app sharing in PROD? With a custom security role?
