Does this question already exist in our backlog?

  • I have checked and confirm this is a new question.

What is your question?

The cross tenant feature is very helpful, and we found some connections such as Google Drive which are not allowed in our environments.
We found over 1,000 Cross Tenant Connections in Governance Dashboard, while there are only 100 Tenant Connections in Core Dashboard. What's the difference, and if we want to monitor all the cross-tenant connections, which should we refer to?

What solution are you experiencing the issue with?

Core

What solution version are you using?

Nov 2022 - 3.56

What app or flow are you having the issue with?

No response

What method are you using to get inventory and telemetry?

Cloud flows

It looks like they just have different default filters. For example it looks like the Core one will filter out ones where the maker display name is blank. I'm not sure why we added that filter in there but you can play with those filters and let me know what you see for the differences.

Thank you for your prompt response!
You are right, admin_accountname is filtered as not blank by default in Core. Other filters are admin_appdeleted is false and admin_connectordeleted is false.
I cleared all the filters, leaving admin_noneorcrosstenantidentity is true. But nothing changes.

will put on the pbi refresh feature to have these two be the same. They return the same data for us but there isnt a reason they need to be different to my knowledge

Thank you! Looking forward to your new features!
Is it necessary to import new solutions after your update?

In an effort to simplify the Power BI dashboards and to follow Power BI best practices, we're removing the Tenant Connections from the Production Power BI dashboard.

Main reason

  • it's currently duplicated across two dashboards
  • it doesn't show any visual, only a table. You can also see the table in the Power Platform Admin View app which has much better sorting/filtering capabilities.

@yaouan This has been fixed in the latest release. Please install the latest version of the toolkit following the instructions for installing updates. Note that if you do not remove the unmanaged layers as described there you will not receive updates from us.
