1.56 VS code version this extension is just not working. Clicking on it does nothing.

I think this is a duplicate of #4229. Please try running the command Live Share: Repair Installation from the command palette. Sometimes these errors happen when the agent is not properly activating. Can you check your activity monitor to see if there is a program running called 'vsls-agent'?
