Hello. I presume this is in continuation of microsoft/coe-starter-kit#8216

I dont know that there is much I can do here. This issue does not repro for me and its an out of the box control. So if its not registering your clicks that would be a product bug. (turns out this was the dialog control from creator kit, not an out of the box control)

Perhaps try changing other browser settings like zoom, or browse in incogneto.

I cant create a Australia Envt to test with.
Can you import this solution?
temptestforbutton_1_0_0_1_managed.zip

All it has is one app that has a button. Hit that button and it brings up the control in question.

Then here hitting save should notify you "hit save" and close the dialog.

Good morning, I am facing the same issue/behaviour with the 'Save' button when trying to update the value for the Admin eMail env variable. Did this get resolved? I have installed the Creator Kit and the Core Components Solutions only. Is there a workaround available?

Jenefer-Monroe commented May 20, 2024

No unfortunately this is not resolved. And it has now spread to all regions.
It's tracked on the Creator Kit side by #463
All dialogs and panels are currently broken unfortunately. Hopefully we find a workaround soon.

Is there a work around in the meantime to allow me to update environment variables? Much appreciated.

How to update env vars manualy

You can manually update environment variables by doing the following:

  1. Browse to the default solution > environment variables
  2. Find the env var you wish to update and edit
  3. Add a new current value (do not update default as it is overwritten on upgrade)
    image

For these env vars in particular:

Admin eMail :
Required
The email address of the admin group you want to use for communications.
Ex: PowerPlatformAdmins@myCompany.onmicrosoft.com

Power Platform Maker Group ID :
Required
The group ID of the maker group you want all your Power Platform makers to be a part of (for communication and app sharing)
Ex: a11aa111-a1a1-a1a1-a1a1-abc123abc123

Power Platform User Group ID :
Optional
The group ID of the user group you want all your Power Platform users to be a part of (for communication and app sharing)
Ex: a11aa111-a1a1-a1a1-a1a1-abc123abc123

The broader team is working on an update to Creator Kit which we expect early to mid next week at which point I will use it to update the apps in the kit before we ship the June release.

I got an early drop of the new creator kit and confirmed I am unblocked from doing all these fixes so we will be able to fix for June release
