This is a usability issue reported by a student during a MakeCode Arcade workshop.

Student had trouble de-selecting the Wall Tool.
He expected to be able to click on the Wall Tool button again to un-select.

Current behavior is:

Click on Wall Tool button to draw walls
Click on another tile to turn off the Wall Tool

I think that is fair. Clicking again on the wall should deselect it.
