Description

Use the keyboard to move, insert, and modify blocks in the workspace.

How to use it?

Click on the settings gear wheel and select Accessible Blocks On to enable the keyboard controls.

If you cannot see this option in the settings menu go to About, then click Experiments and Accessible Blocks. If you cannot see this card, your editor does not yet support this feature.

Navigation

keyboard-wasd

Use the WASD keys to navigate the workspace. W and S move "up" and "down" (to the next stack on the workspace, or the next block in the stack), which A and D move "in" and "out" (into a stack, or into the fields on a block). Hold Shift with WASD to move the cursor around the workspace at the highest level.

Insert

keyboard-t

Press Enter to "mark" a place in a block stack. Use T to open the toolbox and WASD to navigate the drawers and flyout. Press Enter again to insert your selected block into the marked position.

Connect/Disconnect

keyboard-xi

Press Enter to "mark" a place in the block stack. Use X to disconnect the blocks or I to insert a block at a marked location.

Additional Details

See the Official Blockly Documentation for additional detail on the keyboard controls.
