I am trying to follow the typescript distribution of APISamples and after executing "npm run dev" I see: "webpack: Failed to compile."

Node version: v6.10.3
NPM version: 3.10.10

npm install completes with one WARN about deprecated @types/axios@0.14.0.
The dependency tree reports "UNMET PEER DEPENDENCY react@>=15".

Have you tried npm install react && npm install?
