@chris the JSON is currently readonly and this is why 'format' isn't shown in the menu.

makes sense... however i really want to see the results formatted :)

One idea today was that this could be read/write, letting me make changes to the document and persist them back to the collection.

My statement was only an explanation of the current state. Fully agreed, that you would like to format and to modify a document.

This has been fixed already, I believe originally in this commit: ae2b7f3
