Syntax Highlighting in Markdown with Equation

Steps to Reproduce:

Using this file Test File.md, one can see that

1. HTML syntax highlighting after an equation (bounded by $$ $$ in indented paragraphs of a list does not work. But in previous versions without built-in equation support, the HTML syntax highlighting works normally.

2. KaTeX command highlighting is (in my opinion) not consistent. For example, depending on whether there is a space character between the command (say \text) and the argument ({something}), the command \text will be highlighted differently.
