Setup: make sure to have tabs enabled

Testing

• select 2 files to compare from the explorer
• verify the tab label is showing you just the 2 file names and not the path of the files unless...
• ...compare two files with the same name and verify there is a hint in the smaller description label about where the file is from (see [1])
• try with very deep hierarchies and verify you get a short description part giving you a hint of where each file belongs to
• verify the hover of the diff editor label shows you the path of both sides

[1] this is the same hint we show when you open 2 files with the same name and different folder as 2 tabs.
