Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: N/A, VS Code doesn't even open.

  • VS Code Version: 1.67.2 1.67.1 (-2)
  • OS Version: Arch Linux (rolling release)
  • Desktop Environment: Gnome 42
  • Drivers: NVIDIA 515

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Add --enable-features=UseOzonePlatform --ozone-platform=wayland to your flags
  2. Watch VS Code not launch

Do you know whether those flags were working previously (indicating there's been a regression), or did you just encounter this issue?

Add --enable-features=UseOzonePlatform --ozone-platform=wayland to your flags

Can you clarify where you added these flags, did you start the application like code --ozone-platform=wayland ?

I added them in ~/.config/code-flags.conf but I tested it by manually launching the actual vs code binary on /opt/visual-studio-code/bin/code and it doesn't launch.

having the same issue. VS Code will launch though will crash when attempting to resize the window.

This is probably related to #148507 and it looks like that will be fixed in 1.69.0

I no longer use Wayland, some other person will need to test.

It's working fine on Wayland for me (v1.71.0)
