Type: Bug

When working on a Linux environment through either WSL or SSH from a Windows machine, using File -> Open File does not allow me to click the up directory button '..' more than once. In particular, clicking on it a second time results in nothing happening.

This issue was previously reported here for 1.88.0
#209848
and was closed with a fix allegedly being implemented, but I am now on 1.89.1 and the issue persists.

The issue is in fact more general than '..' not working, as it is generally not possible to click through two folders that have the same name. For example, when starting from /home/, clicking to /home/my_folder/ works, but then going to /home/my_folder/my_folder/ does not work (nothing happens).

VS Code version: Code 1.89.1 (dc96b83, 2024-05-07T05:13:33.891Z)
OS version: Windows_NT x64 10.0.19045
Modes:
Remote OS version: Linux x64 5.15.90.1-microsoft-standard-WSL2+

This is already fixed in the latest VS Code Insiders. It'll be in the 1.90 release of VS Code
