Can't Install Packages the old way ! #78739

Error : Failed to install package_name

  • VSCode Version:
  • OS Version:
    Version: 1.37.0 (user setup)
    Commit: 036a6b1
    Date: 2019-08-08T02:33:50.993Z
    Electron: 4.2.7
    Chrome: 69.0.3497.128
    Node.js: 10.11.0
    V8: 6.9.427.31-electron.0
    OS: Windows_NT x64 10.0.17134

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. When i click any package to install or update
  2. pop up comes up saying failed to install , download manually

so i need to download it manually then install it with VSIX of the package ! ,
this happen latest update !
whats is going on :( ?

Maybe you have a DNS issue. See #78783

If you are able to repro it, can you please try with previous release.
