Rename Symbol (F12), it seems that it can't support earlier version TS (2.9.2)? #95399

  • OS Version: Windows_NT x64 10.0.18363
    Version: 1.44.1 (system setup)
    Commit: a9f8623
    Date: 2020-04-11T01:48:12.622Z
    Electron: 7.1.11
    Chrome: 78.0.3904.130
    Node.js: 12.8.1
    V8: 7.8.279.23-electron.0
    OS: Windows_NT x64 10.0.18363

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Select a variable and use f12 for it

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: No need

When I use Typescript version 2.9.2, it fails with the following prompt:

When I use Typescript version 3.8.3, it succeeds and the prompt is as follows:
