Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Not sure whether this makes a difference, but I'm using "workbench.editor.tabCloseButton": "left"
  2. Open a file with a name that will extend to the end of the tab, and make sure that the file is in the "Preview mode"

Text will sometimes clip and be cut off at the end on the tab. It's easiest to see on this screenshot, notice how the "L" at the end of ".yml" is cut off at the end of the tab:
