With the new tasks quick pick layout the recent tasks space is very valuable. It would be useful to have a way to remove tasks from the recent list.

@eamodio FYI since you suggested this.

To verify, execute the "Run Task" command. Verify that there is an inline action to remove individual recent tasks and that the action does what you'd expect.
