Add Extensions Extended Info #18
Comments

Seems to be a request for Marketplace |
Can you help me understand these a little better?
What kind of information are you interested in seeing and what are you looking to understand from that information?
The last updated datetime is already included in the "more info" section of the extension page. Where would you like to see this additionally? I'm not sure what you mean by "build state." If you're referring to the "build: passed" badges, that's coming from the extension's readme. |
Hello, Matt!
1. Extensions have ratings. I need to see how many people actually have
rated it.
This info is already present, but only if you hover a mouse over the
extension rating which is inconvenient.
I'd like to see it just like qty of the users installed an extension is
shown in the list of extensions, maybe next to it, or at least on the
extension page.
This allows it not to be misleaded by situations when an ext has many
installations, but rated by a relatively small amount of people.
2. I don't see 'more info' page. If you mean 'Changelog' , there is only a
builds list with no dates.
There is version next to the Repository link on the extension page at the
top, maybe add it next to the version?

Rated by users (qty of users rated an Extension) - add text info
The hover popup is not enough, need to have this info in the list and in
the Extension details page

The date of the last update
Please add this info next to the build state.

### THE PROBLEM
Not a rare situation when for an extension has lots of installs, 5 stars, BUT it is outdated and rated by a small percent of users. To find this out we have to do an additional manual research which can easily be eliminated and make extensions info more representative.
### PROPOSED SOLUTION
When browsing Extensions, add the following info:
To understand the level of real usability
The hover popup is not enough, need to have this info in the list and in the Extension details page
Please add this info next to the build state.
