Since it's a loose binary in a .zip file, this is blocked by microsoft/winget-cli#182 currently.

Not any more, portable installations are possible.

Unfortunately it appears this package doesn't contain any EXE files. Only executable JAR files and some scripts. There is currently no mechanism for winget to interact with script files

@jedieaston as you can see microsoft/winget-cli#182 merged and closed, so I think @Danelon can remove Blocking-Issue tag, but I do not know How to install JAR files based application with winget?

thanks

As I just mentioned, there isn't a way for Winget to install an application that is based around JAR files. That is why the blocking-issue label was added back

I'll have to find the exact issue number, but I know there was one at one point around using powershell or batch files to install applications, and since there are batch files included with the JAR files, it would be that same issue
