Create or modify quotations (Retail essentials)

This topic explains how to create and modify a sales quotation, and how to convert a quotation to a customer order. You can create a quotation by using either the Sales quotation form or the Customers form.

Create a quotation from the Sales quotation form

1. Click Retail essentials > Customers > All quotations.

2. On the Action Pane, on the Quotation tab, in the New group, click Sales quotation.

3. In the Create quotation form, in the Account type field, select Prospect or Customer.

4. Select a customer account.

5. In the Currency field, select a currency.

6. If any products on the quotation will be shipped, enter information on the Shipping and delivery FastTab.

7. Click OK.

8. On the Lines FastTab, click Add line.

9. Select an item and enter a quantity, and then select variant information, if it is required.

10. Repeat steps 9 and 10 to add more products to the quotation.

11. Click Close.

Create a quotation from the Customers form

1. Click Retail essentials > Customers > All customers.

2. Select the customer to create a quotation for.

3. On the Action Pane, on the Sell tab, in the New group, click Sales quotation.

4. In the Sales quotation form, on the Lines FastTab, click Add line.

5. Select an item and enter a quantity, and then select variant information, if it is required.

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to add more products to the quotation.

7. On the Action Pane, on the Sales quotation tab, in the Show group, click Header view.

8. On the General FastTab, add the information that is pertinent to the quotation.

9. If any products on the quotation will be shipped, enter information on the Delivery FastTab.

10. On the Price/discount FastTab, select a currency and any discounts that apply to the quotation.

11. Click Close.

Modify a quotation

1. Click Retail essentials > Customers > All quotations.

2. Select the quotation to modify.

3. On the Action Pane, on the Quotation tab, in the Maintain group, click Edit.

4. Make any changes to the quotation, and then click Close.
