Create or update a prospect record

Prospects are the organizations and individuals with whom you will potentially interact for business purposes.

Create a prospect party record

1. Click Sales and marketing > Common > Prospects > All prospects.

2. On the Action Pane, on the Prospect tab, in the New group, click Prospect.

3. In the Create new prospect form, select the record type for the prospect party and enter or select the name of the prospect.

4. In the Type ID field, select the prospect type, and then in the Currency field, select the currency that is used by the prospect.

5. Enter or select information about delivery preferences and the prospect’s address and contact information.

6. Click Save and close to close the record, or click Save and open to add more detailed information to the prospect record.

Update a prospect party record

1. Click Sales and marketing > Common > Prospects > All prospects.

2. Select the record that you want to update, and then on the Action Pane, on the Prospect tab, in the Maintain group, click Edit.

3. Make changes to the record, and then click Close.
