Description of the new feature / enhancement

As you have decided to implement #292, I would like to propose some features / ideas related to it.

• As the gallery mode is basically the home screen of the app shifting from the current 'list view' to 'large, extra large view', hence it would not become a library manager, but it would just have two different view modes. (This is only possible because of the default location of the app as it currently shows all the mangas in default loction in list view, in the same way it would then show in gallery view).
• And as the underlying reader (reader settings, side list, app settings, epub, manga reader) would not change, therefore below are some features that will make it both offline and optional online functionality if users need anilist.

1. Gallery View

• The user chosen default location folders will just be displayed as large folders.
• The number of folders in a row should be configurable from 2 to 4 folders / Epub in a row either slider or drop down menu.
• In this way, only the home screen layout and a couple of app settings would be changed other than the underlying app code. (See supporting information for settings changes).
• The search bar as shown in the image should be visible by default and for bookmarks, continue reading it should be linked to already present setting.

Scenario when this would be used?

End user experience. Here is the layout sample. Please do improvise as you see fit.

Thanks for the detailed images.
I had almost same layout in mind for it. My initial plan was to keep everything same as current app but only add a button that will show history (as main section, with library-like view) and bookmarks, but since it will be a while before I can start working on it, it might change.

• Only show one among location and history in library-like view.
• Cause after some calculation, the images will take up a lot of ram.
• Example 30 images (folders/manga) averaging 2mb per image = 60 mb burden on RAM.
• So only show either location or history in librar-like view.
• • If its location its fixed. But for history, when a record is deleted, one needs to add an image every time. So location would be better, imo.
