@gbraad I am not sure what use case it will solve? Can you please give more context? At this point we are only trying to resolve the local host folder mount use case as this is our primary objective.
this would make bring feature parity to CIFS and possible NFS in future.
CIFS has been used by people to mount remote endpoints for testing. It is
an expectation people will have with a mount option.
