You sure can! We don't have a FAQ on this yet, as you're the first to ask. So thanks for bringing it up.
We build Minoca on itself every day as part of our nightly build process. You can get started from the pre-built images on our website (http://www.minocacorp.com/download/). They've got opkg installed and will let you pull down the packages you'll need to clone and compile the OS: git, awk, binutils, make, acpica, byacc. Then just run make in the ~/src/os environment you set-up by following the projects README.
You may, however, run into a few issues with those pre-built images. The *.img files are limited to 512MB and they are a bit out of date (from May). You might want/need more disk space to build the OS and you may run into some bugs we've fixed since May. You can build your own custom images with larger disk sizes by modifying MSETUP_IMAGE_SIZE in https://github.com/minoca/os/blob/master/images/Makefile. This will also give you the most up-to-date image; we're working on putting out updated pre-built images.
Screenshots shows running Git, so maybe one can also run the compiler and tools?
There should be FAQ with such question and answer.
