How is implemented dc dimming in kernel? PWM and Voltage Control? Or only VC? Are colors badly damaged at 0% brightness on AMOLED?

dc could be used instead of pwm, obviously. colors suffer at v.low brightness lvl a little, but it can be noticable only while dc is using, so with the default pwm it looks ok (I think)
