[GBA2P] Mega Man Battle Network 6 CoOp Multiplayer patch has ear-piercing crash

Start a new game, get past the intro, save, then open comm menu in main menu screen, and attempt a practice battle. After the two Mega Man's load, the game has a harsh ear-piercing freeze once the chip select menu loads.

I've made sure the patch was done correctly on the proper rom. It needs a US release of Mega Man Battle Network 6 - Cybeast Falzar or Gregar. I tested with Falzar.
