Hello and 1st off: Thank you for releasing this code under GPL :-)

I'd very much like to try it out in a similar way than old Mozilla Sync engine. There is a seamlessly working (albeit incomplete) ownCloud app for that. Please consider offering such a way to easily self-host the Mitro server.

We certainly know we need to get better docs about how to run your own server. I'm not familiar with OwnCloud, but hopefully once you build a .jar and have an instance of Postgres running, it should be pretty trivial to run.

Trivial means very different things to people ;-) I'm just about half-way through a Python course for beginners. Only having to install & configure an app/plugin in a self-hosting program would IMHO make both Mitro and self-hosting itself more popular.
