Some examples (e.g. examples/basic/translate.py) are not working.

It would be nice to have them all fixed … and in best case included to some regression-testing…

Yeah. Those examples got never updated. I fixed that particular one, but I might just remove or replace them at one point.

In my opinion the examples are quite useful for beginners (to have something working as starting point is never wrong) — It would be sad to remove them without substitution…
What do you think about having a set of examples used for documentation and regression-testing (for guaranteeing a stable api / documenting changes of api)?
If you have an good idea how to solve this issue and a suggestion how I can help, I would like to do so…
