Would be convenient to be abble to define a default todo file (as for the archive file).

Thank you for todotxtmac. Very nice.

I am not sure I understand your request. Do you want a template file?

Sorry, wasn't clear. No, just the default location of the todo.txt file.

I think that the built-in features are a sufficient substitute for a default todo.txt file setting. Here's what I mean: You don't have to manually save or even close your todo.txt file. You can quit the application and restart it, and whatever todo.txt file(s) you had open will be reopened. Also, when you open a file, it is added to the Recent Files list in the File menu, so it is easy to reopen a file if you ever close it. Lastly, it is possible to have multiple files open simultaneously, and they all autosave and automatically open on launch. Having default todo file settings would interfere with this behavior.

Thank you for your response. Just seen that it opens the last open files (but it requires to not close the windows before closing todotxtmac). Very nice. Thank you again.

It seems I have a problem with that: every time I open TodoTxtMac I get a new untitled list instead of my todo.txt file. the file appears on my recent list, though

Hmm... I can't reproduce that behavior. I could see that happening if you didn't close the untitled task list file. I would recommend closing all the document windows that are open, then opening one todo.txt file, then closing the app. See if it still happens.

yes, it still happens.
Is there anything else I can do to help you troubleshoot this issue?

I have no idea. The functionality we are discussing is built into Cocoa's document-based application model. It is baked into the framework, rather than custom code that I wrote. It would help if I could reproduce the bug.

Ok, your explanation solves the dilemma. I turned off that system-wide option because most of the time I don't need it. Let's see if it conflicts with my habits or if I can have it enabled without problems :)
Thank you very much for this great app and for your kind help!
