Dear M. Otter,

I propose to introduce a model similar to Modelica/Multibody/Joints/FreeMotion into the Modelica Standard lib which is tailored to facilitate the initialization of the kinematics of a frame:

it should be possible to initialize one scalar coordinate of the frame only, without e.g. beeing forced to define the complete position vector.

I would like to simplify the user interface and related code for initialization of the FlexibleBodies models by no more offering the choice to initialize a specific frame on a flexible body. This capability is then provided by the new model.

Best regards, Andreas Heckmann

Fixed in a408dbe:

The new MultiBody.Joints.FreeMotionScalarInit joint has been added where all scalar elements of the relative quantities can be initialized separately and also the StateSelect attribute can be set for every scalar element.

Additionally, an example added as Examples.Elementary.DoublePendulumInitTip and two additional test models added in ModelicaTest.
