Feature Suggestion: sub-tool selection #6
Comments
I'd add that it's a bit confusing at present as the sub-tools have tooltips (like the main tools) indicating that the number keys should be used to select them and indeed these mappings are shown in the module settings. However these defaults (i.e. the number keys) conflict with the Hotbar slots keys, which take precedence. |
I'm not sure if "bumps" are kosher on github (rather new here), but yes, this would greatly enhance this module. Even the ability to assign modifiers to the sub-tools would make it far more usable. Ideally, I'd love to see the "double tap" feature above to go to specific tools in specific layers, emulating the advanced keyboard shortcuts functionality from Roll20 |
In fact imho a module that just basically replaces Foundry key and mouse controls with Roll20 controls would be awesome. That's one aspect where Roll20 did a much better job than foundry. Foundry's default key and mouse controls are awful. |
still hopeful there could be a feature update with this functionality! Great module as-is and grateful for it. Just hoping perhaps this could also be added. |
It would be great if it were possible to not only select the basic tool, but also the actual desired sub-menu tool.
There are two ways one could implement this:
If that makes sense? Happy to help code this if you can point me in the right direction – not sure where to find references to how to select the tools or how to discover their id's
