   Shuts down the current :binary:`~bin.mongod` or :binary:`~bin.mongos`
   process cleanly and safely.

   This operation fails when the current database *is not* the
   :term:`admin database`.

   This command provides a wrapper around the :dbcommand:`shutdown`
   command.
