Uncaught Exception has occurred

I have recently gotten a new computer and after transferring over to it I keep receiving the below error message. If I entirely uninstall and reinstall the game It temporarily fixes the issue but I'm looking for a more permanent solution. Thank you.

Is there a way I should uninstall to keep all my progress and prevent this from happening? For example do I need to uninstall DDLC itself as well or just files from MAS?

MAS is saving progress in a place that usually has nothing to do with the installation location. For example, for Windows, the save file is located within %APPDATA%, which is usually a directory in the user folder on the C drive. So don't worry, you won't lose your progress that easily. Simply reinstall it from scratch would be enough.
