But there are strange font behaviour and different visualization through different flavour of Linux distribution in which Mono display fonts.
Many of these strange behaviour led many user of Mono to complain about the difficult to set the default fonts used by mono, in particular the font Size is a problem.
Some time ago there was around a workaround that modify the sources of:
System.Drawing/SystemFonts.cs
to make possible to specific via an environment variable a specific default font.
Take it as a suggestion, but this behaviour is very annoying and make the application developed in Mono to be considered a "pain to use" specially in the cross platform applications as developers are used to windows where the behaviour is consistent between users.
Sorry for my bad english, but it's not my mother tongue, and sorry if it is not the place of such complain.
I can't post the steps to reproduce the problem, as they are reported in many places by many peoples.
Regards
Carlo D.
