Hero Description

Rey is a young adventurer with a big sword.

Inspiration

He is like the basic adventurer of a RPG, has a big sword and some pieces of armor, much like Ike from Fire Emblem and Cloud from Final Fantasy

Gameplay

Ray is a melee close-ranged fighter, his attacks are pretty much sword slashes. Since he doesn't have a big range, he can dash through to close the gap and buff himself. Pretty much a Hack 'n Slash character.

Daily Update 29/01


  • Today I took some time to organize my folders, since I did a lot of testing with some other softwares before sticking to magicavoxel it was a big mess over there, now all cleaned up

  • I finished the hurt frame, it's just him going back a bit like he's surprised by an attack

  • And I started the first attack (slash) animation, just the first frame, I'll first do the frame test then I'll add the "blur" of the sword when I think the timing is perfect

Very cool concept art and animations! Looking forward to seeing how this will turn out. I forgot to post here, but approved for development as an initial project.

Daily Update 31/01


  • Today was a big day! I could work more on this character and could do the animations without much problems like when I was doing the ones before
    First thing, I wasn't liking the run I did before so I started the running animation from scratch, managed to make it more fluid and a lot better

  • I did a rush to finish all the animations since I had some free time, first I did the ultimate Heaven's call

  • Then I did the taunt, just a simple animation

  • Then took me some time to put all the animations in the center, since it's easier to animate them in motion, before uploading I had to pick every frame and put in the middle, then I had to save every frame separated in the folder
