I just upgraded to emacs 24.3 and now the syntax highlighter wont update upon change in the file.
To get the correct highlighting I have to trigger js2-mode-reset.
I double checked and js2-idle-timer-delay is set to 0.

Is this the same problem as #72?

As an aside, I don't see why you would want to set js2-idle-timer-delay to 0.

Yes indeed. Recompiling solved the problem.
I mentioned js2-idle-time-delay just to make sure that I have nothing wrong configured there because the last time I lost syntax highlighting was when I wrongly set this variable...

thanks for the quick help!

No problem.

The default value should work fine. And setting it lower than 0.1 or so shouldn't make anything better, it just increases CPU load when typing.

This still happens in 2018/2019; deleted, downloaded, recompiled.
No settings were altered.

Syntax highlighting still requires saving and reverting to saved.
Emacs 26.1, spacemacs 0.200.13 (stable).

Edit: plain Emacs works, Spacemacs does not, so I'm opening an issue with them.
