Ideally the plugin should work out of the box with all major types of VR controllers, but at the moment I don't even know if they work at all.

So I'd like to ask owners of different types of controller to comment here and describe:

  • Whether it works out of the box.
  • If it doesn't, how it needs to be configured.
  • Remaining quirks if any.

It would be good to know about these controllers at least: The list is now complete, thanks!

  • Vive
  • Index
  • Oculus
  • HP

HP motion controllers: they don't out of the box, the following config changes are needed.

  • Enumlated trackpad -> remove assignments
  • B and Y buttons -> Application Menu Button
  • Joystick -> Trackpad position & value
  • Make it to "pretend to be Vive controllers"

Can confirm that Index controllers work. Haven't had any issues with them so far.

Oculus Quest 2 controllers work out of the box, and it's likely that other Oculus hardware will work fine as well.

for the most part Oculus Rift S controllers work. I have not been able to get the laser pointer thing to work at all... all tools are on both controllers and so if I have the menu on one controller and also on the other controller, I just have two menus... It's a bit weird.

I have also experienced #28 a few times. (Possibly from the bounds of the cursor are a bit larger than the window bounds if I remember correctly).

I am using an HP motion controllers, and I tried the settings posted by @mosirnik, and it works for walking around and going through menus, but I am unable to interact with anything. (normally mouse right click). which HP motion controller button does the settings refer to as "center"? I thought it was the thumbstick click, but I can't get the game to recognize it.

Everything is working great for me on my HTC Vive.

Rift CV1 no Trackpad, hand. Selecting activities are difficult. redundant actions on both controlers leave no room for actions. Need to make new bindings...

@E1337Kat Sorry about the late reply. If this is still a problem for you, sending me output_log.txt may help me debug this. Also, do you see a model of your VR controllers in the game?

@pearcemichal That's weird, I have no idea why it doesn't work. And yes "center" refers to the thumbstick click without tilting it in any direction.
