No data seems to be saved in these tables - are they needed? There's no longer any link between a return_id and refund_id which would be useful.

Not sure which db you are working on? In theory we used the order as a link before, but now, where returns are decouple from orders, we instead use the return_refund and return_payment tables.
Same with orders and order_refund and order_payment.

This doesn't seem to be working then as those tables are blank in the live database.

That's odd...
Maybe there have been no new returns and Laurence forgot to run the portscript?

There hasn't been any new completed returns yet, I'll check to see if I can find the query that needs to be run.

These tables are populated for new returns so I'm going to close this.
