I have a JMP number through an xmpp account running on a Snikket server. I am unable to receive audio calls from cheogram.com when using the Movim client at https://mov.im.
I now suspect that this is a Movim issue, but am also in contact with cheogram in case there is an issue on that end.
Below are the details of what I have reproduced across browsers and operating systems.
Movim client can send and receive text messages to a phone number through cheogram.com gateway
Movim client can place audio calls to a phone number through cheogram.com gateway
However, Movim client fails to accept audio calls incoming from cheogram.com
Specifically, when calls are incoming from cheogram.com, I receive an incoming call notification pop-up through Movim, but after clicking to accept the call, the call never successfully connects.
Based on server logs, it does appear that the call is accepted - Movim sent "proceed" to the calling JID. But after that it responds with "retract" - ie. it no longer wants to establish the call for some reason. (I can provide a log file from the server showing this behavior if that would be helpful.)
This appears to be an issue specific to using JMP/Snikket with Movim, and persists across different browsers and operating systems:
Placing calls to and receiving calls from Cheogram.com works if I am using the Gajim client.
Placing calls to and receiving calls from Cheogram.com works if I am using the Snikket iOS client.
Placing calls to and receiving calls from another (non-cheogram) xmpp account works fine on the Movim client.
