Suggestions from history limited to 1 or 2 suggestions

Steps to reproduce

1. Install Firefox on Android
2. Connect to firefox sync and sync history etc.
3. Type term into search bar

Expected behaviour

Top results matching term should appear.

Actual behaviour

Only one or two results are shown. While typing the shown results change randomly from the list of matches from history. The full results don't seem to be only slow to load, waiting for several minutes does not show additional suggestions.

I got my first Android phone yesterday and really want to use Firefox on it, but I have the exact same problem.

Having the exact same issue now after Firefox auto updated from the Play store. Have uninstalled/resinstalled and clearing data/cache as well.

I was able to reproduce it on the latest RC and Nightly.

Since no activity happened to address this issue, it is of course still to remain open. Better yet to fix this so that it can indeed be closed. I stopped recommending Firefox on Android in the meantime, as this bug is rather user-hostile.

FYI I can use menu -> history -> the search icon to search the full history.
