Steps to reproduce

  1. Access www.twitter.com and log in with valid credentials.
  2. After the login is successfully made, log out.

Expected behavior

The user is logged out of twitter.

Actual behavior

The user is still logged in.

Device information

  • Android device: Samsung Galaxy S10+ (A 9).
  • Fenix version: Nightly 3/3.

Hi,the issue reproduces with Google Pixel 3 XL (Android 9) and Samsung Galaxy S9 (Android 8) on Beta 4.3.0-beta.1.

I'm not able to reproduce on master with GeckoBeta nor GeckoNightly on Galaxy S9 Android 10.

(I had my login saved with Fenix)

Might be related to SameSite=Lax policies. Try with network.cookie.sameSite.laxByDefault flipped to false via about:config.

I re-checked this on the latest Nightly 5/21 with Google Pixel 4 XL (10) and Samsung Galaxy S10+ (10) but I wasn't able to reproduce this issue.
@boek I do believe we can close it.

Hi! This issue is reproducible on Firefox Nightly 200807 GV 81.0a1 from 8/7, Firefox Beta 80.0.0-beta.4 GV 80.0 from 8/7, Firefox Release 79.0.0.2 GV 79 from 8/1 with Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 (Android 8), Google Pixel 3 XL (Android 9) and Samsung Galaxy S9 (Android 8) with the steps from the description.

As a note, when selecting Delete browsing data on Quit - Cookies, and then going back to the page and from the main menu select Quit, the user is logged out after a page reload.

Not reproducible with Google Pixel 4 XL (Android 11).

I will reopen this issue.
