We play video contents and some are DRM protected (widevine)
Every time the screen is full black (or full white, depends on the used player... )

To reproduce just insert a video element and use a protected content

We expect a flag that we can activate, letting us to use our contents (maybe using a certificate too ?)

  • Device: Mac OS M1 (or windows10 or linux ubuntu)
  • OS: Big sur
  • Browser: any

We know that this is related in some way to the WEBGL implementation
but we think you have more power than us pressing for the correct implementations everywhere of DRM protected surfaces
(example, implementing the EXT_protected_textures mode)

Thanks for letting us know about this issue. Do you have specific video files that are DRM protected you could share as an example?
