calling PDFView.open while PDF is loading causes both documents to be rendered #4774

Despite PDVView.open calling close(), it seems possible that the new pdf and the old PDF render on the same canvas.
I am still working out details, but I would appreciate additional eyes on this, and what further info i could provide.
