The wrong page is displayed when you try to download a file using a broken URL #348

[Affected versions]:

  • Firefox 54 and up

[Affected Platforms]:

  • All Windows
  • All Mac
  • All Linux

[Steps to reproduce]:

  1. Start the browser and navigate to "https://send.dev.mozaws.net/" page.
  2. Upload a file and copy the URL.
  3. Open a new tab and paste the URL in the address bar.
  4. Delete a few characters from the URL and press enter.
  5. Click the Download button and observe the behavior.

[Expected result]:

  • A page similar to the "Something went wrong!" page is displayed.

[Actual results]:

  • "Something went wrong!" appears as the page title. The download does not work, but it looks like it does.
