As a testday participant, I should be able to easily identify who is available to help me get started.

  • I should be able to query the bot and get back a list of helpers
  • the bot should be able to ping mentors on my behalf without prompting
  • I should be notified of who to ask for help when I join the event

hi @ashughes1 & @whimboo !

In your second bullet point, Anthony, are "mentors" the same as the first bullet point's "helpers"?

For the third bullet point, do we want to restore a welcome message with this info, or could we add it to the :help output when a test day is in progress?

I wonder if we can rename helpers to moderators, which is the term we used before for people helping others during a testday. @ashughes1 what do you think?

Oh, and given that we do not want to greet people, how should we actually implement the 3rd bullet point, @ashughes1? Should this be a simple notice to the user the first time she/he joined?

PR #36 has been merged, so this is fixed.
