discuss content outside of chapter 10

Dan points out this is likely the last presentation of the sessions proposal before final reading at the September meeting.

Going through last 31 comments on PR 55.

specific feedback

  • minor grammar fixes in chapter 10
  • instantiation - we'd better check we're using this consistently (Howard comment)

general feedback/discussion

There was some discussion of instantiation vs initialization. Is the later a special case of the former? Probably yes. instantiation of a session implies that something about MPI is up and running.
