TRANSLATORS comments ignored in Texinfo input?

Hello!

It seems that TRANSLATORS comments in Texinfo input do not show up in PO templates. Here's an example: https://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/guix.git/tree/doc/guix.texi#n104 . Am I missing something?

Same here. Before finding this report, I emailed help-guix mailing list about it.

I even tried this sample texinfo file to see whether the issue was on the Guix file mentioned by Ludo, but it failed as well.

It seems lib/Locale/Po4a/Texinfo.pm has comment extraction implemented, though.

After reading the code more carefully, it seems to me that comments are being found in line 208 of Texinfo.pm by comparing the $line with the regexp $RE_COMMENT, but no action is actually applied to it, so comment lines are being ignored.
