how roles work?

Hello,
How user roles work?

did you use entrust/confide or everything on your own?

and what made you choose that.... I ask because your package sounds very good for a starter site and i want to implement some big things on it.

Also is it under rapid development (we can see many code changes) or a stable product now?

I do not use entrust/confide because Laravel 5 is still in development and entrust/confide is not currently adapt to Laravel 5. But when Laravel 5 would be finished I hope that entrust/confide have a solution for that and I will integrate it in this starter site. For now, we must wait :( So I offer you to wait to laravel 5 release date.

I see that you already have roles etc... did you hard code them?

when i try to add new roles...its like adding new user type and its not taking any roles, another issue is...its adding 2 rows into DB

also, can you answer my next q "is it under rapid development (we can see many code changes) or a stable product now?"

Yea, it's hard coded for now, until entrust/confide and laravel 5 will be finished and then I will implement it For now only check if user have admin role and then he can go to admin part of site.
