Also when the list becomes too long we need to develop an approach to select genotypes to test

Actually not, thanks for pointing it out. Issue #117 is more about making a library of metadata related to the variety. This issue here is more about keeping consistency in the names. They need to be addressed together. I will open it again. Sorry.
