Welcome to Computational Modeling and Data Analysis I!

  • Software Setup Guide. The key software/communication tools for this course are:

    • Zoom (for in-class learning and office hours)
    • Jupyter Notebook (all assignments & quizzes will use this; available through Anaconda distrubtion and includes Python)
    • Slack (for all course communication, see below)
    • Desire 2 Learn (Course assignments will be distributed and submitted via D2L)
    • Microsoft Forms (for surveys, please use your @msu.edu microsoft account when using Microsoft tools)
    • [MediaSpace] (https://mediaspace.msu.edu/) for sharing recorded lectures

  • General course discussion and assistance will be held in the #cmse201-s21-help channel on the CMSE Slack space. There are also section specific channels in the format of #cmse201-###-s21 where "###" corresponds to the section number.
