Introduced in 0.14.0-rc2, so presumably related to #2464.

Looks like @mbrookes example is quite thorough. I thought I was running into this too so I created an isolated example in the webpack examples in this repo. Tossed them in a PR on my fork just in case it's helpful for tracking this down tylergaw#2

Seems like treating the component as controlled fixes this. And since we are moving away from maintaing state inside our components I'll go ahead and close this. But if anyone finds this annoying please open another issue describing what the use case is and a reproducible code so we can fix it. Thanks a lot everyone 👍
